Union is way better stat wise, has very good bonus stats, and is a tiny tiny fraction of the time to unlock everything for it.

I really want the union power armor after googling and seeing that it has a carry weight bonus like the excavator set but is better armor and can have a jetpack. I keep seeing that the plans should be available in Giuseppe's Curios but the only union plans I see in there are the different attachments like stealth boy and stuff. Excavator for sure.in terms of damage resistance, t65 is better. but all power armor comes with damage reduction, which is incoming damage simply ignored before the resistance calculation is performed. for anything out in wasteland, many players find the increased damage resistance offered by t65 is less useful than the extra carry weight offered by excavator ...
